2016 sees the 34th Wargrave 10K event. It will be the usual course, starting and finishing on grass with the rest of the course on undulating country lanes and some residential streets within village. There are three water stations on the course. The race is Chip timed. The race is again selected as the 10k event for the Berkshire County Championships.
Once again we have a team category and encourage and welcome runners of all standards from beginners to experienced to enter. The event enjoys a real festival and family atmosphere and lends itself to bringing family and friends along to support. There is a play area on the recreation ground for children and there will be a tea & cake stall run by the local brownies.
There will be a Sports Massage service, Sports Kit Mobile Shop and other stalls.
Sorry, but no dogs or pushchairs are allowed in race and no dogs are allowed on the recreation ground itself, but there is a dog walking field adjacent to the car park.
Although we have not banned the wearing of headphones we do ask that you make sure that you can hear passing runners & traffic, and that you can hear marshal instructions at the start of the race and during the race. Thank you in advance for your consideration for others on the course.
Please find historic race results here.
